Frequently Asked Questions About Headshots in Toronto

Have questions before booking your headshot session? Here are the answers to the things people usually ask about pricing, scheduling, outfits, retouching, image selection, privacy, and corporate headshot sessions at my Toronto studio.

Why are your prices increased during the weekend?

Weekend appointments are priced higher because they take place outside my regular weekday schedule. If you’re flexible, weekday sessions are the best value.

How many looks people usually bring to your studio?

Bring as many as you realistically want to try. Some people only need one clean professional look, while others bring five or six options so we can create more variety. I recommend bringing a few extra pieces even if you think you’ll only use one. It gives us more flexibility with backgrounds, lighting, and the final direction of the images.

What should I wear for my headshot session?

Wear clothing that fits well and feels like you. Solid colours, simple textures, and clean necklines usually photograph best. Avoid distracting logos, very busy patterns, or anything that pulls attention away from your face. If you’re not sure, bring options and we’ll decide together during the session.

Do you help with posing and expression?

Yes. You don’t need to know how to pose before arriving. I guide you through expression, posture, angles, and small adjustments throughout the session so the final headshots feel confident, natural, and professional.

How long does a session last?

There is no strict time limit. Most sessions naturally take between one and three hours depending on how many looks, backgrounds, and image goals we’re working through. I don’t rush people through the process.

How much does retouching take?

For individual sessions, final retouched images are usually delivered within two weeks, depending on how many images you select. Corporate or team sessions may take longer, especially when there are multiple people or larger image sets.

What kind of retouching is included?

Retouching is natural and professional. The goal is to make you look polished while still looking like yourself. I clean up temporary distractions, refine skin, adjust small details, and keep the image realistic.

Do you accept credit cards?

Yes. I accept major credit cards, including AMEX.

Can you match another photographer’s style or a reference image?

Yes, as long as we discuss it before the session. If you have a specific look in mind, send reference images before your appointment so I can prepare the lighting, background, and setup properly. If no reference is provided, I’ll use my standard headshot style and adapt it to your face, skin tone, and goals.

How many images people usually buy?

t depends on the person and what they need the images for. Many clients choose around six final images, but some only need one or two, while others want a larger set for LinkedIn, websites, speaking profiles, press kits, dating profiles, or social media.

Do you offer any collections or packages?

I don’t use traditional packages because everyone’s needs are different. Images are purchased individually, and there are collection options for clients who want several final images. This keeps the pricing flexible and avoids forcing you into a package that may not fit what you actually need.

Are images included in the session fee?

No. The session fee covers the time, coaching, studio work, and photography. Final images are selected and purchased separately, so you only pay for the images you actually want.

Can I bring someone with me?

Yes. You’re welcome to bring someone if it helps you feel more comfortable during the session.

Do you photograph people who are nervous in front of the camera?

Yes. Most people who book headshots are not professional models, and many arrive feeling awkward or nervous. That’s completely normal. My job is to guide you through the process and help you look relaxed, confident, and approachable.

Can I keep my images private?

Yes. If you don’t want your images shared on my website, Instagram, Facebook, or any other public platform, just let me know. I respect privacy requests.

Do you offer corporate or team headshots?

Yes. I photograph individuals, teams, and corporate groups. Sessions can be done at the studio or on location, depending on the size of the team and the needs of the business.

Do you offer on-location headshots?

Yes. On-location sessions are available for businesses and teams. Pricing depends on location, travel time, setup needs, and the number of people being photographed.

Can you work with my budget?

Pricing is listed on the booking page so clients can estimate the cost before reaching out. I keep pricing consistent for everyone. If the session is outside your current budget, I completely understand and recommend finding a photographer whose pricing is a better fit.

How quickly do you respond to business inquiries?

I usually reply within a couple of business days when the inquiry includes the key details: number of people, preferred date, location, usage needs, and budget range. Larger or less detailed inquiries may take longer to estimate properly.
