In the loving memory of my father

I have written and deleted this entry so many times that I can’t compose myself and do something decent, there are simply no words to describe it.

If you have a loved one, just tell them that you love them, there is no shame on it, anytime that we have an opportunity to say it and we don’t, we lose a chance that will not come back.

If they are in the distance, talk with them everyday, I talked with my father two days before he left us, he mentioned me “I’m dying”, and I just didn’t want to believe it. He was old, and getting in the attitude of old people that keep saying “I’m going to die” but they don’t.

I told him, to stop saying stupid things, and go to the hospital. He mentioned me that he was going to go in the morning with my brother. He didn’t, the next morning he felt good, and he ignored the warning signs his body was giving him. I didn’t talk with him that day and I should have. The next day I sent him a video of a dog playing with crackers, and he never watched it. We used to start conversation sending memes or videos to let the other side, “hey, I want to talk with you”.

With love, Pepe.
